Working principle

The EDI equipment is filled with a mixture of cation and anion exchange resins, and cation and anion exchange membranes and electrodes are installed on both sides.

After the raw water enters the module, ions in the water are adsorbed by the resin; Electricity forms an electric field that drives cations to migrate towards the cathode and anions to migrate towards the anode, passing through the corresponding ion membrane and entering the concentrated water chamber for separation and discharge.

The resin in the freshwater chamber is continuously ionized and regenerated, without the need for acid-base cleaning agents throughout the process, producing low conductivity and high-purity water continuously and stably; Paired with pre reverse osmosis pretreatment, it can significantly reduce EDI load and extend module lifespan.
