Backwash filter

Operating principle

The backwash filter adopts the pure physical working principle of forward filtration and reverse hydraulic flushing. When the equipment operates normally, the water enters from the water inlet and penetrates through the filter screen from inside to outside. The clean water is normally delivered to the rear end, and the solid impurities and particulate dirt are retained inside the filter screen to realize the pipe water purification.

With the accumulation of impurities in the filter screen, the differential pressure at the inlet and outlet of the equipment gradually rises. When the differential pressure reaches the set value or reaches the fixed period, the control system automatically starts the backwashing process. By switching the water flow direction of the valve and forming a high-speed reverse water flow with the system water pressure, the filter screen is strongly scoured from outside to inside, the impurities attached to and embedded in the filter screen pores are completely stripped and quickly discharged from the drain outlet. Upon completion of backwashing, the equipment will automatically reset and enter the normal filtration state again, without shutdown and manual intervention in the whole process, so as to achieve long-term stable filtration.

Equipment configuration

The whole machine is industrially integrated, pressure-resistant and corrosion-proof, compact in structure, and operates without consumables. The whole set of equipment is suitable for 24h continuous pipeline working condition. The core configuration is as follows:

• High-strength filter housing: made of carbon steel anti-corrosion or SS304/SS316L stainless steel, integrally forged and welded, with strong bearing capacity, rust and corrosion resistance, impact resistance, suitable for outdoor, wet, acid and alkali and other complex industrial environment, with long service life.
• High-precision stainless steel filter screen: wedge microporous filter screen/punched filter screen is adopted, with uniform pore diameter, stable filtration accuracy, erosion resistance and deformation resistance. It supports 50 – 500 μ m precision customization, strong dirt holding capacity and no dead corner in filtration.
• Full-automatic backwash valve group: equipped with electric/pneumatic special control valve group, with sensitive switching and good tightness, which can quickly complete the water flow reversing, flushing, blowdown and reset process actions, and operate stably without jamming.
• Differential pressure monitoring and control system: the high-precision differential pressure sensor monitors the differential pressure of the pipeline in real time, accurately judges the blocking degree of the filter screen, automatically triggers the backwashing program, and intelligently adapts to the change of water quality impurity load.
• PLC intelligent electric control system: it supports differential pressure, timed dual mode operation, fully automatic start and stop, fault alarm and overload protection, and can be connected with remote monitoring to realize unattended automatic operation.
• Quick blowdown mechanism: designed with large-diameter blowdown outlet, fast blowdown velocity, complete discharge of impurities, no residual dirt, complete cleaning of filter screen in a short time and recovery of filtration flux.
• Optional configuration: manual standby mode, waterproof and electric control, explosion-proof configuration, front coarse filter and remote data transmission module can be installed, which is applicable to high pressure, high impurity and special explosion-proof working conditions.
