Operating principle

The dual purification process of aeration oxidation+manganese sand catalytic adsorption is adopted for the iron and manganese removal filter to specifically treat soluble iron and manganese ions in water. When the raw water enters the equipment, the dissolved ferrous iron and manganese divalent in the water are oxidized into insoluble ferric iron and manganese tetravalent solid oxide by fully dissolving oxygen through the aeration device.

The oxidized Fe-Mn precipitate is deeply retained and absorbed by the high-precision manganese sand filter layer, so as to completely realize solid-liquid separation, effectively reduce the Fe-Mn content in the water body, and produce clean water without rust odor when meeting the standard. The equipment is equipped with a full-automatic backwash system, which can regularly wash the oxide impurities deposited in the filter layer, restore the catalytic filtration performance of the filter material, avoid the hardening and blocking of the filter layer, and ensure the long-term stable and efficient operation of the equipment.

Equipment configuration

The whole machine is designed in a closed and integrated manner, with uniform water distribution, no dead corner in filtration and durable pressure bearing. The whole set of industrial configuration is suitable for 24h continuous water purification. The core configuration is as follows:

  • High-strength filter tank body: carbon steel rubber lining anti-corrosion or food grade stainless steel material can be selected, which is integrally welded and formed, pressure and corrosion resistant, anti-seepage, no leakage, no fear of underground water acid and alkali fluctuation, and no secondary pollution of water quality.
  • Special manganese sand catalytic filter material: high content natural manganese sand filter material is selected, with high catalytic activity, strong oxidation capacity, washing resistance, not easy to be pulverized, stable iron and manganese removal efficiency, long service life, suitable for various types of high iron and manganese raw water.
  • Aeration dissolved oxygen system: built-in forced aeration device can quickly increase the dissolved oxygen content of water, accelerate the oxidation reaction of iron and manganese ions, greatly improve the filtration and purification efficiency, and adapt to the over-standard water quality of high concentration iron and manganese.
  • Full-automatic multi-way control valve: intelligent electric/pneumatic control valve, automatically completing the whole process of filtration, aeration, forward washing, backwashing and blowdown, supporting timing and differential pressure start and stop without manual intervention.
  • Uniform water distribution and collection system: upper and lower multi-layer filter cap+porous water distribution structure, uniform water flow distribution, no bias flow, no short circuit filtration, give full play to the adsorption and catalytic performance of manganese sand filter material, more thorough filtration.
  • Pressure monitoring instrument: the front and rear high-precision pressure gauges monitor the pressure difference inside and outside the tank in real time, accurately judge the blocking status of filter materials, intuitively master the operating conditions of equipment, and timely give early warning for maintenance.
  • Optional supporting system: PLC linkage control, online water quality monitoring, gas-water combined backwashing and pre-settlement device can be installed, which is applicable to the working conditions of heavy iron and manganese exceeding the standard and high turbidity complex groundwater.
