Working principle
The softening water equipment adopts the principle of sodium ion exchange adsorption to achieve water softening, and the tank is filled with high-quality cation exchange resin. When raw water passes through the resin layer, the resin functional groups actively adsorb calcium and magnesium hardness ions in the water, replacing the hard components in the water with sodium ions, completely reducing the hardness of the water, producing scale free softened water, and effectively preventing scale formation.
As the resin adsorption capacity approaches saturation and the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet of the equipment increases or reaches the set working hours, the control system automatically starts the regeneration process. The equipment automatically inhales saturated saline water and uses high concentration sodium ions to replace the calcium and magnesium ions adsorbed by the resin. Impurities are discharged with the wastewater, and the resin activity is completely restored; After further washing, replacement, and water injection reset, the equipment enters the softened water production state again. Fully automatic cyclic operation throughout the process, continuously and stably producing softened water that meets the standard for 24 hours.
Equipment configuration

- High strength filter tank body: carbon steel rubber lined anti-corrosion or food grade glass fiber reinforced plastic and stainless steel tank bodies can be selected, which are integrally shaped, pressure resistant, corrosion resistant, seepage tight, aging resistant, long-term operation free of rust, secondary pollution of water quality, and suitable for complex industrial conditions.
- High strength cation exchange resin: Food grade 001 × 7 strong acidic cation soft water resin is selected, which has a large exchange capacity, fast adsorption speed, resistance to repeated regeneration, long service life, stable hardness reduction effect, and is not easy to fail.
- Fully automatic intelligent multi way valve: Domestic/imported high-end automatic control valve, precise control of the entire process of water production, backwashing, salt absorption, regeneration, replacement, and water injection, stable operation, low failure rate, and precise switching.
- Corrosion resistant salt box system: equipped with thickened PE anti-corrosion salt box, salt valve, salt suction pipeline, automatic salt dissolution and automatic salt suction, uniform salt solution ratio, to prevent incomplete or ineffective resin regeneration.
- Water distribution and collection system: upper and lower layered water distributor+precision filter cap, water flow evenly penetrates the resin layer, without bias, short circuit, or dead angle, maximizing the use of resin exchange performance and achieving more thorough softening effect.
- Pressure monitoring and safety protection: equipped with precision pressure gauges, stabilizing devices, water shortage protection, overload protection, real-time monitoring of equipment operating pressure to avoid high-pressure tank flushing and negative pressure suction faults.
- Optional supporting system: can be equipped with PLC intelligent control, hardness online monitoring, remote alarm, dual tank one in use and one backup, pre treated filtration, suitable for high hardness, high flow uninterrupted water supply conditions.
